“Those Drinkers” — And, Drinker #5, my Healer for my sensuality and giving nature / Be it only three weeks, my maternal side awakened and real –

Those Drinkers

But did you know that my love for the drunks was strong
And theirs for me in the long run?

Drinker #1 always brought me water when I coughed
Let me tuck in, always made love and laughs.

Drinker #2 cherished my wifely ways, exuding my smarts and poetry!
He forced me to reconcile after fights, and stoked the fire in Chelsea.

Drinker #3 made the most thoughtful gifts, and my dinner every single night
He kept me in the game, made me so much music, and looked to resolve our fights.

Drinker #4, my God what a love – classy, quiet, and endearing.
Drove his truck for me to Timbuctoo, making the bed, and getting groceries.

And, Drinker #5, my Healer for my sensuality and giving nature
Be it only three weeks, my maternal side awakened and real –

And my Lover in me returned with a desire to feel
And to please, and to pleasure and to touch together

And his scent that stirred me, his kisses that were amazing
His personality so fucked up, but genius, and quirky

A gift only in body and touch, skin, and warmth
Detached from reality, without interconnection nor conversation

A “freebie” for each of us – for me: his engineering, sex and manliness
And for him – my kindness, understanding, and sensuousness.

Each to each though that first night over pints
And the touching began, and I lost my mind.
