LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! With my literary leanings, and performance style, Ottawa’s GAPC Entertainment invited me to host the second season of The Letters: Rediscovering the Art of Courtship. Filmed at the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, British Columbia, the romantic reality-TV dating show was an adventure created and produced by Ottawa’s GAPC Entertainment, and Calgary’s Corkscrew Media for CHUM Television). Ten male suitors of all types – from rockers and bookish fellas to cowboys and playboys – wrote their way into the heart of “Roxanne” (named after the female character in Cyrano de Bergerac’s love story). The delightfully honest show was eight episodes, and aired April 2007 on various former educational and art & culture programs, including ACCESS Alberta, Canadian Learning Television, BookTV and again on Bravo! in 2008.
