Always keen on turning ideas into opportunities, Sylvie is a natural at networking and gets excited about connecting amazing people and their artistic projects and talents to audiences far and wide.
My first paid piece was about Joseph Arthur for Lola Art Magazine (Toronto) in 1999. Various Letters to the Editor in many publications, such as the UK’s The FACE magazine, led to more paid freelance. This included contributions across various print and emerging online magazines — from book, music, and arts/culture reviews, to cover-feature articles and a weekly two-year column, “Shotgun,” in Ottawa’s arts and culture independent weekly, The Ottawa XPress (VOIR, Montreal’s HOUR).
